At Gyncentrum we use Assisted Hatching to increase chances of successful pregnancy.
How does Assisted Hatching work?
Just before the transfer procedure embryologist creates a small hole in the zona pellucida surrounding the embryo in order to improve the process of embryo implantation inside the uterus. It can be used in case of Fresh and Frozen Embryo Transfer.
Who should be treated with Assisted Hatching?
- Women older than 37
- Women who have high FSH level
- Couples who have already had unsuccessful IVF cycles
- Couples who are recommended to use Assisted Hatching by embryologist due to a distinct thickness of the zona pellucida
There is a minimal risk of damage with the procedure. The procedure increases possibility of multiply births.
