SCA/CASA

Comprehensive diagnosis is required to plan the treatment for each couple. Gyncentrum Clinic uses CASA/SCA systems to evaluate sperm parameters that are useful for infertility diagnosis.

 

CASA (Computer Assisted Semen Analysis) – is an advanced software program supported by automatic system SCA (Sperm Class Analyzer) which visualizes the sperm under microscope, records the obtained data, and evaluates sperm parameters. CASA limits the possibility of laboratory mistake to minimum. 

 

It determines following semen parameters:

• sperm concentration (counts) and motility (movement)
• sperm morphology (shape and appearance)
• sperm viability
• sperm DNA fragmentation

The results of the analysis are available for the patient the same day.
